... and local ip addresses (10.x.x.x or 192.168.x.x) won't work. The
free API isn't permitted to be used on local networks. [There are ways
around that restriction of course, but I'm not going to publicise them
and it would be trivial for Google to suppress the obvious ones
anyway]
