Depending on where you are looking to print and what resolution, you may be able to find the imagery for free. The US is covered in free 1m color imagery from the NAIP program. I think Canada and New Zealand land managing agencies carry some free imagery for their region.
If in the US - if the Google Earth/Maps copyright says USDA Farm Service Agency and/or US Geological Survey, then the NAIP might be what you are looking at. If this is these are the regions you are looking at, you can contact me off list (as this is getting off topic) and I'll send you some links to some imagery if Google search doesnt find what you want.
