You could stitch several together but it may not be legal.  Andrew
Leach has suggested it might be OK.  If you do not object to a bit of
pixelation, you could use the browser to resize your static map
image.  You could use CANVAS to assemble a composite of multiple
static map images.  For personal use, I think you are OK.  For
commercial use, check with a lawyer.
