We have developed a new website, nothing special, that needs a Google Translate button. A PC and Laptop are involved. The PC is being used as the development and test environment and the laptop as an additional test environment.
Having had that button installed. The following occurs ... All works well on the PC, irrespective of the type of browser being used. On the laptop: If using IE, Orange or Chrome browsers, all works perfectly. If using Firefox or Safari, the drop-down list of languages contains no languages!!! In all cases, the browsers are newly installed using the most recent version. The operating system is Windows 7, newly installed in the last week and fully p-to-date (as far as I know) using Windows Update. As a test, I went to http://translate.google.com/translate_tools On that page, in "Step 3", I tested the sample drop-down list. Exactly the same happens. It works perefectly in browsers EXCEPT Firefox and Safari when it doesn't display and languages!!! I prsume that there must be something "wrong" on the Laptop but I have no idea what installations, settings or lack of same can be causing this. Any ideas? Thanks for any guidance.
