Good point, when submitting my prev post, I was just think about: What problem is being solved here? Or What is improved ? Maybe good to summarize the list of goals and then work on them (like the white papers proposals in the gwt wiki). Either we have a backward compat problem I would start a separate IsWidget hierarchy. That makes it easier and overcomes all kind of conflicts and pain...
