Jim, the download zip is available for people who are helping with pre-release
testing - it is an error that the jars made it into maven central before we
completed this acceptance testing. Once we finish testing, we will announce it
and make a zip generally available for download.

With that said, can you confirm that the
jsinterop-annotations-1.1.0-sources.jar jar does _not_ contain a file at
jsinterop/annotations/Annotations.gwt.xml'? I am suspecting either you got a
corrupt jar, or that this sources jar didn't end up on your compiler classpath
after all.

$ unzip jsinterop-annotations-1.1.0-RC1-sources.jar
Archive: jsinterop-annotations-1.1.0-RC1-sources.jar
 inflating: jsinterop/annotations/Annotations.gwt.xml
...
