Since the recent GooSync update, up until yesterday, I was getting
"System error" on my Nokia E62. (I believe that's a known issue, and
the problem that is preventing lots of other people from syncing.)
Today, I get "Invalid host address" instead, with the exact same
settings that worked prior to the update (and caused "System error"
after the update).

It would be really useful if GooSync had separate "production" and
"testing" servers (presumably with separate "production" and "testing"
databases, and a procedure for syncing them or making them both point
to the same host after a release is stable). Alternatively, it would
be nice if there were a server that kept the old version up for a
while after a new release (presumably with a copy of the databses as
of just before the new release). Either way, people who want or need
new features can get them as soon as they're available, but people for
whom the new release doesn't work aren't left completely without
calendar syncing if the new release doesn't work for them for some
reason. Given how important accurate calendar information is in
people's lives, it's a big problem if I suddenly lose the ability to
sync due to forces beyond my control and have no way to get the
ability back other than just waiting with fingers crossed. If the old
server code were still running somewhere I could get to, I'd have the
ability to work around these problems when they come up, and the
GooSync developers would probably be able to work under a bit less
pressure.
