Yes, I did that. ndisgtk is nice and it install the drivers for me. That was a lifesaver to tell you the truth... As of just a few minutes ago I finally got a connection but I need to wait and see if it "holds" before I start "celebrating" as I've heard that some people on the Ubuntu forums are having problems with the adapter after they get a connection (I hope that's not the case with me).
Also, because I had manually configured the network without the Network Manager (not sure why that's not working for me) I may need to do a few other things. But now that I have a connection (at least for the time being) I can do research on gOS which will make things much easier for me. I will post step by step instructions on how I did it so that might help some of the people that are having the same problem, especially for people that are new to Linux as it can be a real headache. But, for anyone that knows their way around Linux better than I (which will probably most) you can go to the following 3 links and pretty much figure it all out. Thanks again to the people that posted the links up above. Like I said, after I make sure this connection holds I'll post a step-by-step. Here are the main 3 links I used: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=756260 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=571188 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=846464&highlight=blkwgu+invalid+driver!
