If you want to update to the latest version of gOS from the gOS Gadgets Beta then you have two options.
First access Synaptic Package Manager or the Add/Remove utility and add File Backup Manager, package name 'pybackpack'. Then backup the contents of your Home Folder to a CD, DVD, or USB. You can then perform a normal installation of Gadgets, re add your home folder contents to the system, and reboot. Secondarily this may be a possible way to upgrade, though it may be hack-ish, not yet proven and not recommended. Please feel free to test it if you'd like and post your results here.
