If this hasn't been resolved yet I may have an idea that seems to be a bit easier then some of the other solutions. I ran into these issues when I installed gOS on my computer. What worked for me was installing the ubuntu restricted extras.
"sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras" into the Terminal and Flash and all that jazz are now up and running.
