Yes, almost complete success! A few Remarks
> F2 I assume that you meant to launch a terminal, but on my system F2 does not launch one, instead I programmed keybindings so that Ctrl-Alt-T launches a terminal, but actually I have added terminal to the wBar, and used that to launch a terminal. For a moment I thought you meant Ctrl-Alt-F2, which drops you into a command line "run level", but from it you cannot launch gedit, so I used a simple terminal window. > gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list Okay, no problem there > Add this repository in sources.list: > # GOS > deb http://software.thinkgos.com/ main gadgets Previously I has already added deb http://software.thinkgos.com/ main gadgets so first main, then gadgets, and I assume that is what you actually wanted me to add, because your URL generates a 401 error when I do the apt-get install. So I kept the original URL and continued. > sudo apt-get update Okay, that went fine, and updated one package. > sudo apt-get install gmenu Went fine too. > locale -a List all locales, I have TWO nl locales, not just one! so no nl.utf8 but I did have nl_NL.utf8 (which is the right one), but also nl_BE.utf8 (which is Flemish, the north-Belgian form of Dutch). No worries... > wgethttp://ptp.net23.net/gmenu/nl/gmenu.mo Yes, gets me a 1.6K text file. > sudo mv gmenu.mo /usr/share/locale/nl/LC_MESSAGES Works fine, I first read locale as locate, but obviously that directory does not exist, no problems when you make no typing errors, moving the file works fine. Then I typed exit, and logged out, and back in. And, yes, the menu is now in Dutch too (I changed default language to Dutch already). The first entry now reads "Plekken"! Fine! all looks good, there is just one fluke, and that is that the last entry in the "plekken" (places) menu still reads "Search for Files", where I would have expected "Zoek bestanden..." to be. But that is a very small issue. The only thing that seems to be unaffected, and is still English seems to be the Wine menu. All else is now in Dutch, great!
