Hi,

Last night I was updating my gOS 3.0 Gadgets system using Synaptic and
suddenly, I was prompted to upgrade to the latest Ubuntu 8.10. Knowing
that gOS is based on Ubuntu, I thought "how nice from gOS team" only
to find at my dismay that the desktop has been morphed into some kind
of hybrid of Ubunty and gOS. During upgrade, I was prompted to select
if I want certain configuration files to be upgraded which I naively
accepted. I am reluctant to re-install gOS because I have invested so
much work in customising the experience for my development work. Is
there a way to recover the look and feel of gOS 3.0 without re-
installation?

Thanks.
