im now realizing it wasnt the burn, it was the file. it should be about 768 MB 
and my file was only 328. Mirror #2 must be producing a bad file as I 
downloaded it twice. I will try again from mirror 5 and will follow up with 
questions. I appreciate your help. Also, is this just for a live cd or will it 
set up as would vista, xp or any other bios driven program?

you obviously have a bad burn. try again burning with the option of DAO and 4x 
speed
