No, I'm not the administrator of the WEDI listserves. Frankly, they don't even run their own listserve - it's outsourced to some company. Besides, I can't imagine the abuse possible with subscribing an alias to an otherwise public mailing list - it's obvious the alias belongs to my company and can be tracked down by domain name. The only point of using the alias was to get around the confirmation requirement.
So, would it be possible to use the "To:" address for the name of the mailing list rather than the "Delivered-To:"? Pretty please? William J. Kammerer Novannet, LLC. Admins are supposed to have god-like powers over this stuff. And I like the idea that an admin probably has to be involved - it helps minimize confusion and abuse. >I suspect the "Delivered-To:" address (the forwarding alias) is being >used by Mail Archive, rather than the correct "To:" address. Can this >"behavior" be corrected? Best way to correct is get rid of the forwarding alias. I hate those things as a general rule. If that's absolutely impossible, ask again and maybe I can do something on this end. By the way, Mail-Archive code is available from the FAQ somewhere, if you ever want to examine the heuristic sort yourself. -Jeff _______________________________________________ Gossip mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mail-archive.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gossip
