1. Though I haven't played around with it yet, from what I understand of Australis, one will have to make an extra click to get to one's add-ons. An extra click to get to add-ons is like a kiss of death to me even and I would hope this feeling could be accommodated along with the understandable desire of other users to keep their UI minimalist.
Though I haven't read the rest of your email, from what I understand of it, you're essentially complaining about not getting your ways without acknowledging all the prior (public!) discussion, and sometimes relying on inaccurate FUD.
Seriously, go try Australis. It's in beta. Take the tour. Don't knock it until you've tried it. If you're only trying it after it's hit release, then the problem of "why wasn't I heard" is *yours* because as you know full well, once we've released it, we can't really fix that release anymore. The UX repo was public, Nightly was public, Aurora was public, beta is now public - you've had about a FULL YEAR-AND-A-HALF to give feedback on all the things we did in public, and now you're coming along going "I still haven't bothered to try it, but I hear it's terrible"? That's not good enough.
After the first of April we'll have had at least 2 town halls in just these last couple of months, so your goal of "at least 2 town halls a year" seems like something we're meeting already!
