Why are you responding in such a hostile and argumentative way? Did I say that I needed to get my way? I may have an incomplete understanding, but that doesn't mean I didn't look at screenshots, read descriptions, etc. I was also merely stating my impression; I was not complaining, nor did anything I say in the post suggest I was complaining about it, except in theory. > Seriously, go try Australis. Not good enough for what? Not good enough for justifying me blogging and complaining about it? Well, I certainly agree that would not be justified, but that's not what I'm doing. Many of us have busy schedules and higher priorities (you yourself admitted you didn't read my whole post despite taking the time to sharply condescend to me about the need to take time out to do things; if you had read my post, perhaps my mention of having chronic fatigue would have hopefully given you some pause before lambasting me, but even if it hadn't, that is not a very professional way to attack people, especially people you don't know or are not working with so as to know their situations). Due to such preoccupations, it is not always possible for a person to take action, however relatively small, at a given moment toward their points of interest, even while an actually friendly and open community environment might overcome this temporal lack of ability for people to contribute in full by welcoming general conceptual feedback. I was merely citing my understanding of the direction of Australis as one the types of things in which I am interested (even while not always able to take action on them at a given point in time) and which regular information and feedback meetings might allow an outlet of expression. > After the first of April we'll have had at least 2 town halls in just > > these last couple of months, so your goal of "at least 2 town halls a > > year" seems like something we're meeting already! Town halls on specific topics is a different matter. I would not be comfortable taking up time in a town hall meeting for my own issues that were not of relevance to the stated topic of the meeting. If there is usually a portion open to open discussion and questioning, then I was not aware of that, and would be more interested to attend (though I still think there would be advantages to allowing for more open sessions and certainly to publicize the fact that they are open to other topics). _______________________________________________ governance mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
