We're heartbroken too. But he wasn't pushed from the inside. It was
his choice to leave, and he did so because he felt it was the only way
to bring a clear end to the firestorm of negative attention on both
Mozilla and him personally. (Can you imagine how difficult this week
must have been for him? How many attacks he's had to endure? If I had
gone through that, I would want a clean break as well.)

I hope that, once the furore and some time has passed, that Brendan
will return to Mozilla, and I know that many other Mozilla employees
