There will be more statements forthcoming in the next day or two. (I have looked at a draft version of one of them just today.) Hopefully they will help on this front. In my opinion, there has been one major failing in the official posts made in the past few days: they have been entirely devoid of emotion. They have utterly failed to communicate the range of feelings -- shock and anger and disbelief and sadness and regret -- that Mozillians have felt since Brendan resigned. I'm hoping that the forthcoming posts will communicate that side of things. In the meantime, here is a small selection of blog posts from employees and prominent community members, expressing those emotions in a variety of ways. These were all published on planet.mozilla.org, the aggregation site for the personal blogs of Mozillians. http://www.bitstampede.com/2014/04/06/standing-strong-and-staying-mozillian/ http://blog.gerv.net/2014/04/your-ire-is-misdirected/ http://www.glazman.org/weblog/dotclear/index.php?post/2014/04/04/Sad-day http://mikeconley.ca/blog/2014/04/07/much-ado-about-brendan-or-as-ive-seen-it/ http://intangible.ca/2014/04/04/the-day-after-an-anthology-of-thoughtful-angry-and-hopeful-posts-about-mozilla/ https://blog.mozilla.org/nnethercote/2014/04/07/a-story-about-brendan-eich/ Nick _______________________________________________ governance mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
