Hello David,

Thanks for your response and to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised.

As a suggestion, to further reflect Mozilla's apparent compassion to Brendan, I would strongly urge that you publicly disseminate your offer to allow him to return if he so desires. In this way, Mozilla can withdraw strtegically from this poisonous social issue.

As you well know, the social and political issues of today can reverse rapidly with a changes in national administration or the pedulum swings of social mores. I would not envy your company if a wave of conservatism of either type occurs given the perception surrounding recent events.

Thanks again,
John

John,

Thanks for reaching out and voicing your concern.

I realize it looks like we fired Brendan because of the outcry from an
external group. We didn't. Brendan chose to leave Mozilla because of the
untenable outside pressure put both on Mozilla and him personally.

We are sorry that he decided to leave. I realize that we could possibly
have done some things better – starting with our communication on
official channels – but I would like to convince you that we are not to
blame. It is my belief that Brendan would be welcome if he decides to
change his mind and return as CTO.

If you have any question, do not hesitate to ask. I will do my best to
answer them.

Best regards,
David

To All,

The recent behavior of Mozilla toward it's CEO is beyond political correctness and/or social sensitivity. It represents nothing more than cowering to a small and vocal group who wants not only acceptance from the majority but demands blind obedience.

I join other traditional value holders whom will neither abide your actions nor further support this company.

John
