I can try to answer these, the privacy notice isn't the best place to have all these details and Geoff is planning to link to another page that details answers to common questions. > - What is 'locale information'? Currently we're only using the browser language and need to look into using the accept language header as well. Please file a bug related to that and we'll investigate. > - How often is this data sent to Mozilla? Every time I view the page, or > > on a semi-regular basis? Tiles are fetched daily, meaning Firefox will look to Mozilla every day for new versions of Tiles. Metrics on impressions and clicks (only for Directory Tiles or Enhanced Tiles) are reported shortly after the event. > - Is the data aggregated, or are you able to tell how many times _I_ > > have clicked or viewed a tile? We only need and keep aggregate data about Tile performance (clicks / impressions) on a per region (country) basis. Meaning we could have an understanding for how popular the Tim Horton's Tile in Canada is but would have no idea which Canadians are clicking on it (all of them). > I'm also curious about how long we keep this data before discarding it > > and a few other things, but those generally don't seem to be covered by > > the privacy notice and may be answered in the detailed privacy policy. Information like IP Address is not kept, like other Mozilla services we immediately translate that into a region (for us country) via an internal GeoIP service and then discard the IP. The aggregate data is currently only kept for 13 months. I'll be putting this and other information up on a wiki page temporarily until we get a www.mozilla.org page setup. Once that page is setup the privacy notice will link to it. > Thanks! > > - Mike Kelly > > > > On 8/22/14, 12:52 PM, gpiper wrote: > > > Hello all! I am very excited about our release of Tiles.
