Comment:
I gather several sites are prepared to deliver maternal variables in the
context of the antibiotic obesity study (#277), so let's re-condsider a
shared approach.
> **4.** Because controlling for confounding is paramount in this study,
we also propose to use data outside the CDM to augment individual-level
data sets. These data could include maternal variables such as BMI and
antibiotic use, perinatal variables such as vaginal v. cesarean delivery,
and identification of siblings within the data set. Is your site able to
obtain data on
>
> a. Maternal variables?
> 1. height Yes No
> 2. weight (before or early pregnancy) Yes No
> 3. medication use during pregnancy Yes No
>
> c. Delivery type (vaginal v. cesarean)? Yes No
>
> d. Whether a child in your data set is a sib of another child in the
data set? Yes No
