Is BP filling in the gaps in terms of the functionailty not yet available, compared to MD, when it was first released? I know everyone uses their software difeerently, so maybe the other question should be, is there anything you miss seriouslY? I ask because I know lots of GPs are interested in BP, but few of us have had feedabck from users to pass on. Greg ________________________________________ Greg I have seen what Nigel answered. He is correct, not all the bells & whistles of MD2 is in BP but neither are they in MD3. BP has bells & whistles that neither MD2 nor MD3 has - & MD3 can never have some of them until the DBF / document handling system is removed from MD3. The main bell & whistle component that I like is live updates. Doctors can happily be using BP on workstations while the Server gets updated. A few Doctors & IT persons nearly die when they hear this claiming Data corruption may / can occur etc. There is no truth in this rumour. The experts use live updates because it is safe. In a large practice it means no down time at midnight to update Server, then W/S's. The other Bells & whistles I like is diagrams, nursing home charts to mention a few. Remember I was a Betatester for MD2 (from before the official MDW was released), & Alpha tester for MD3 until I left. I also was a Betatester for PS1,2 & 3. I still find bugs in PS3 that the current betatesters don't find and it takes months for HCN to fix these bugs I find in PS3 - I'm still waiting for a fix for some. A very poor advert for HCN. Thus I know a bit about testing software. The important question to ask: If I knew in December 2004 what I know now, would I still have taken the leap into the unknown with BP - YES !! I had no difficulty in migrating my Data from MD2 to BP. As far as I can establish, everything is there (I still have MD on one machine to see if something is missing that may not have migrated - still zero finds). Do I miss anything seriously: No ! There are some minor irritations that Frank fixes once we complain about it. An example is his care plans: They needs some Minor adjustments, but nothing to cause me heartache. Was there an early adopters program - No, because Frank was so confident in what he had built, he knew it would work. All my friends who changed to BP needed very little if any support in migrating Data to BP & using the program as the process is so simple & fool proof.
