In a similar vein, if you have a Knoppix CD or DVD and a USB storage
device you can log onto most machines in a full Linux KDE desktop and
have access to what ever you want, regardless of Windows security
measures. I use this setup from time to time for data recovery from
badly broken windows instances.
The computers drives appear as Icons on the desktop and are readable,
while the USB device key or HDD with FAT file system can be set to be
written to. Voila, data easily found and saved - or stolen.
Think about the possibilities of this issue with your wonderful new
device too. System administrators hate USB keys as they already are a
major means of surreptitious data copying.
