Been thru the traditional hospital system for this sort of care? Takes
days if not weeks of stuffing around to accomplish what we do in an
afternoon in rooms.
The specialist flight from public hospitals continues in our neck of the
woods. This week one of our most relaxed, charming and good natured
opthalmologists resigned from Lismore Base. In stating his reasons, he
allowed himself the extravagance of describing the system as
'dysfunctional'. I cannot work out why NSW Health treats its specialists
so badly. At first I thought it was a cost containment exercise but I
think it really just reflect the increasing rules and regulations that
have caused it to become hamstrung.
The same thing is happening in nursing homes and like many GPs I fear
the RACGP is taking us the same route with its accreditation
bureaucracy. Efficient systems run by doctors are probably the only hope
for quality patient care even if you don't make us much money as selling
out to a corporate.
Good luck with your venture Duncan but try to keep the GPs in the loop.
Is there any way that your software can be used by them?
