A number of people have spoken to me about how getting outputs from clinical
information systems would improve the willingness/enthusiasm for GPs to use
computers more. Our own work focuses on the description of an information
system primarily based on the required analytics and not so much on the
perceived inputs.
Who believes that motivation to use computers would be improved if the
analytics available were more comprehensive?
Jon,
Adelaide Western division believe this is the way to go with their
'Division Health Atlas' - a research and development tool using mapping,
health epidemiology and health economic tools. it is designed, i believe
to help practices get a picture of the patients, their needs, and their
best economic opportunities.
We may hear more about them.
