Hi all

I have just received a letter from the AMH business and marketing manager, Mr Peter Farrell, who demanded that I immediately post a full and unconditional retraction of my previously posted statement regarding the PAMH subscription as they considered it "offensive and defamatory" and "highly libellous". Further action would be taken unless I posted an immediate retraction of my statement and ask the moderator of the list to remove my original posting immediately.

It has been pointed out to me in a 3 page letter that their terms and conditions for once off and subscriptions options were clearly stated on their website and that any error in my choice would therefore be fully of my own doing.

It has been over a year since I subscribed to the PAMH and I'm sure that they are correct in this matter - I therefore unreservedly apologise for the angst I have caused the AMH and the damage I may have caused their reputation. It must obviously be my fault and I apologise for not recalling which option I chose when I subscribed a year ago. I'm sure their statement that all the options were there for me to read and that I have obviously not recalled nor kept a copy of these documents to verify what the subscription terms are. I also apologise for any perception that they may have changed the terms of my agreement with them unilaterally. They have since ceased the promotion of the subscription package in question and the current terms and conditions does therefore not reflect what I was given a year ago - at that time al was clearly spelled out according to Mr Farrell and I'm sure he is right and apologise if I conveyed anything other than that.

I have been supplied with a proforma apology that I could use by Mr Farrell and I trust that I have covered the salient points that he wished me to address in my own worded document.

Would all list members and the Moderators please remove any copies of my posting from their harddrives as well as copies of replies to the matter.

I trust that this would satisfy the request from the AMH for a rectifying of the matter.

In view of the obviously less than satisfactory business relationship that I now have with the AMH I will request that I be invoiced for the remaining two years of my agreement with them and at the same time cease my subscription in order to close off this matter.

Regards
Thinus
