Dear Digerati I have an increasing number of large raw tiff images (mostly hand scrawled discharge summaries) that are accessed through the Windows picture viewer. They are housed on a samba share and are starting to chew up significant disc space. I would like to shrink them, preferably with a command line tool.
I note tiffcp (http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man1/tiffcp.1.html) supports compression but would appreciate advice about the best way to proceed to get a reduced image that is still visible in Windows. TIA. David
