No I generate a random name but that name is saved in the EHR. I use the extension to select the default external application in Windows and pclippie (part of the Pitifil suite) to launch the link from the clipboard. I could change to a different format but I would prefer to stay with TIFF if I can.
I'll check out imagemagick's convert and play around with Duncan's lzw. David
