Good news, the ball seems to be rolling. I have semi-agreed with a Rails developer (group) in Melbourne. Tomorrow morning we will finalize the details and sign a contract. Contractual time frame for delivering is 4 weeks - they will work on it full time.
Features: Similar functionality to Pracsoft (minus the billing part), similar interface to Google calendar Allows receptionists to book appointments for patients Allows patients to book appointments live - they get to see only vacant time slots and their own appointments Allows drag'n'drop moving of appointments Text auto-completion patient search box If you find I am missing an important feature / aspect - let me know tonight, tomorrow it'll be too late If cooperation works out well, next contract will be for the billing part, and thereafter for HIC online (or whatever they call it now) I'll open a new svn repository as soon as we start, so everybody can monitor the progress - but during the contract period it will be read-only access When it is ready, I'll put it onto the ozdocit server as online demo - you can then check yourself whether it is something you want too, and whether it will be worthwhile to continue in the same manner (and maybe chip in a few bucks in order to develop more modules) If it doesn't work out with this contractor, I'll look for others who can deliver - I am sure I will find somebody who has the time and the skills to implement to my specs Horst _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
