True David but at the time I had to make a decision he had managed to get a
full time assistant and 2 part time if I remember correctly. I don’t even
think there was room in the surgery for anyone else :-) How things
change..

That sounds too good to reject.

Duh. Why don't you join me instead (relaxing 30 min drive through the
beautiful rainforest) and have nice IT instead?

Just think:
You look at a crisp 24" 1920x1200 TFT monitor, your hands relaxing on your
economic keyboard while you lean back in your ergonomic Herman Miller Aeron
chair....

Whisper quiet computer never takes more than 3 seconds (or I shout you a
gourmet dinner for every time it does take longer) to "open" a patient, and
system (while simple with no bells and whistles) gets you most tasks done
with a minimum of keystrokes.

You never have to worry about data loss. You don't even have to worry about
power outage (unless extended to hours). You have unrestricted redundant
broadband access, but lots of knowledge sources (AMH, eTG, Harrisons etc) on

the Intranet for instant access ...

Our patients are much nicer than the ones you will get in Bellingen. Our
staff
is the nicest one around (both receptionists and practice nurse). You get
spoiled with freshly brewed Cappucino or Espresso (from freshly
ground "organic" local coffee beans) or a selection of some 15 different
herbal teas. Staff meetings with gourmet catering!

And now we are in the process of buying ultrasound equipment, 24hr BP
monitors
and other nice gimmicks to complement the ones we already have - council has

just approved the renovation / extension of my surgery and we will start
building as son as I can contract a reliable builder.

You would be welcome any time, full time or part time.

Horst
