I don't think it can ever be close to the speed of running on native
hardware, but maybe as hardware evolves it will be an option.
It is fantastic as a testing & development platform though. What could
be more fun than destructive testing of windows and your favourite EHR
software?
It is also good for creating elaborate designer networking arrangements
which can quarantine internet accessible guests from the host network.
VMWare server is great.
