Consider this real scenario, in which I receive a SMS telling me I have an 
appt at some Manly, NSW doctor at some time.
I've had this same mobile number for >10 years.
So someone has sent a reminder to the wrong person.
They think they've sent the reminder, but it never happens. Because you have a 
legal minefield if you felt it was worth reminding the patient but you don't 
get confirmation that it occurred and the excreta hits the spinning blades, 
you have not a leg to stand on in the Court system.
Ring people, talk to them, email them on a system which will tell you if a 
message isn't delivered, /you need an acknowledgement./
