Not really Jan. It would be quite OK according to the regulations for the referral to go into the EHR unsigned, as long as the specialist has a copy that can be 'proof of authorisation' by the GP somewhere in the specialist files. So having a signed copy filed in the Argus or MO database is quite enough. There is no real need for the signature on the document to be on the copy that is placed in the EHR. Afterall, the only requirement by Medicare Aust is that a signed copy is somewhere filed away in the specialists filing system that can be audited later if requested by Medicare.
