excellent point - the patient may _not_ go to the specialist (in p.r.n.
cases), but if they get there, the reply via e-mail is the ideal outcome
from a gp point of view
after all, the letter we sent is already in our data base, and an
electronic reply simplifies collating the reply in an easily recoverable
spot in the patient (e-)record
