Yes, I wholeheartedly agree (as I previously stated) - we should all obey the PBS guidelines, and I back your quest to straighten out all transgressors ...
Likewise, I see many patients who have previously received PBS scripts for "off label" indications from other GPs and specialists, as well as patients referred from pharmacists, and I have even had a patient sent from a Vetinarian requesting a script be written in the patient's name but to be used for the patient's pet. All for reasons to save money for the patient by falsely obtaining taxpayer subsidised PBS medication. I explain to the patient (I also rang and advised the Vet) that it is against the law to provide PBS scripts which do not comply with the guidelines, and it is I who would be breaking the law. I then suggest (humourously) that because it is they who want to save the money, then they should be the one's who break the law by perhaps robbing a bank (very John Cleese).
