Hi simon,

Quite a few of our clients run TS over dsl for remote sites so they have
isdn as a backup.
The cisco routers do all the work.
Our local isp onthenet does all the config's and monitoring.
The isdn dials the isp on a 0198 number so the cost is minimal.
The main cost is the isdn rental and the cisco's !

We could do similar on the straight internet connections using the failover
in the higher range snapgears
But really no one has asked for it.

Otherwise most clients call their path providers after no dsl for 3-4 hours
and get the fax going.

Subject: [GPCG_TALK] Internet redundancy

Have any list members deployed a load balancing router in their practice?

What arrangements do practices have in place for the event that their
DSL/Cable connection goes down?

Thanks
Simon
