Tony,
We have apparently gone from famine to feast. Or perhaps from sublime
to ridiculous.
The document 'Guidelines for Implementing Interoperable Web Services' is
pretty much what we have wanted for the last 6 months. Yes, I would like
to see some working implementations, but that does not detract from what
is a very useful document.
I am glad to see the NEHTA brains trust getting so extremely low-level
with the WSDL requirements, and this should be welcomed by everyone who
wants to use Web Services.
The reality of this specification is that there is so much to get your
head around that it is going to take a few months (for the ambitious
among us) before anyone can honestly claim to be compliant with what has
been defined.
My team is very happy about this spec.

As flagged by others last week, the standard pieces required for
completing NEHTA's web services vision are falling into place.
Guidelines for Implementing Interoperable Web Services v1.0 (This was
released yesteday!)
I'd be very interested in the comments of the technical members of
this list on the NEHTA's outline of Web service interfaces using WSDL,
and its realisation with SOAP messages.
What else is needed for implementation?
Cheers,
