Hi all

Good to see discussion about the merits of messaging and the concerns about
ensuring quality of service and consistency in experience.

Following is a URL containing a draft code of practice that HealthLink have
previously circulated for comment amongst the forum members.

We think that an interconnected group of competing vendors will be a good
thing for the sector, keeping service quality and innovation happening while
allowing competition in a viable market.

It will be important that high standards are set and maintained. The whole
set-up should be underpinned by an emphasis upon compliance to agreed terms
and standards. This will mean that there is consistency and basic
expectations in messaging for the end-users. Such a Code of Practice should
underpin inter-operability with companies differentiating themselves based
on quality of service, price, add-ons etc.

We would welcome further feedback and support from message providers,
suppliers of clinical applications, end-users, Divisions of GPs, learned
colleges and professional organizations.

Thanks

Geoff
