Hi Chris Given the established risk in hybrid records I hope your search is successful. I have been able to give exported txt records to a practice though I had to show them how to use it. (heard of cut and paste>>) LOL
Once or twice HCN MD2 files have come to me. They are not too hard to put into my product MT32. The primary issues I see is differing data formats and terms . Screening terms and other clinical data is often inconsistent even within one practice. Unless political forces is used I doubt you will find a simple answer . Hope I am wrong of course. Regards James Bishop From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Scott Sent: Thursday, 12 July 2007 10:14 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [GPCG_TALK] FW: Patient Record Transfer I'm interested in the views of the list members on the process of transferring patient records electronically between Practices. Given that most households move house once every four years and that Practices are becoming more electronic, the days of handing over a paper file are almost over. So if a patient goes to another practice how are records transferred now and what will this look like in the future? - The destination Practice might well have a different practice management system using different protocols and standards of course.
