The $20.00 limit in Medicines Australia Code refers to "brand name reminders" such as pens, caps, etc.

Beverages are defined by Medicines Australia Code as part of hospitality:

"Any hospitality provided by companies either directly or by
sponsorship or assistance to the organisers of educational
meetings, must be secondary to the educational purpose."

"Hospitality:

Should not bring discredit on the industry;

Should successfully withstand public, professional and
community scrutiny; and

Conform to professional and community standards."

So I don't think providing Chivas whisky would fit with the above unless (possibly) it was only one 30 ml shot as a pre-dinner drink to a legitimate educational function...
