Like Roman, I remember a time when it worked without doing anything.

Running openSUSE 11.2 KDE 4.3.4 (release 2) and QTcurve. Have the same problem
with gPodder 2.0, 2.1 & 2.2.

All icons appear to work, except status for played / unplayed podcasts. Same
icon is used for either state.

gnome-icon-theme is installed - makes no difference.
gnome-session - tried too, makes no difference.
xfce-mce-manager - tried too, makes no difference.

Going into System Settings > General > Appearance > Icons > Theme I have four
choices (I use Oxygen):

Crystal SVG - same icon used for played / unplayed - red triangle !
GNOME - works correctly with gPodder, but messes all the KDE stuff up.
Oxygen - same icon used for played / unplayed - musical note with (( ))
openSUSE 11 Gilouche - same behaviour as Crystal SVG

(see attached image for status icon behaviour)

(openSUSE 11.2 default GNOME icons was taken from previously observed
behaviour.)

When using Oxygen theme in my icon settings, gPodder uses that icon set
irrespective of settings in GTK Styles and Fonts. When GTK Style is applied and
gPodder restarted, the style changes, but it still uses KDE icons. When
alternative fonts are selected in GTK Fonts, it continues to use KDE fonts.

The only other icon that is broken is the one for Tray Icon in gPodder >
Preferences. It appears as a ? on a white background. This may be related.
