Done some further testing. Uninstalling qtcurve-gtk2 (and qtcurve-gtk2-32bit),
solves the problem and the gPodder (and other GTK apps) now use the Gnome
icons. Before, even if Qtcurve was NOT selected in the GTK styles, qtcurve-gtk2
would still make the GTK application use KDE icons.

Not totally satisfactory, but at least I can tell my played from my unplayed.

qtcurve-gtk2 is version 0.68.0-2.3.1 packaged by openSUSE. (64bit)
qtcurve-gtk2-32bit is version 0.68.0-2.3.1 packaged by openSUSE.

If it is possible to get a fix on the played/unplayed status icons and the last
two in the preferences, then I could go back to using Qtcurve, in the meantime,
I'll live without and use Gilouche in the GTK styles.
