Fabian,
You are probably not going to like me... but I am most likely going to revert
the packaging change in Fedora that removes gnome-bluetooth as a dependence
once I've tested to my satisfaction that removing alsa-plugins-pulseaudio
prevents PA from controlling local sound devices. I noticed that
alsa-plugins-pulseaudio wasn't actually pulled in when you did a gpodder
install. As far as

I am aware your only complaint was that some parts of PA were pulled onto your
system taking up space...not that it was actually interfering with your ALSA
configuration. Just installing gpodder..even if it does depend on
gnome-bluetooth should not automatically enable PA and get in anyone's way
because it doesn't actually pull the bits that cause PA to grab and control
ALSA devices.

Once I've done the testing I will also add a Fedora.README in the gpodder
package that explicitly state the sufficient steps to disable PA that does not
require complete removal of all PA related packages from a client system.

When you do notice this change, please remember to continue this discussion in
the Fedora bug tracker as the problem here is entirely scoped inside the
capabilities of the Fedora packaging system and my choices as a the primary
package maintainer.
