Yes, the descriptions on the website are mostly for the Linux version. The
Windows version, for example, also does not have iPod synchronization, etc.
It's not the primary target platform (especially since I don't have a Windows
installation most of the time), but we try to support it as good as possible
with the limited resources.

Sure, that's one of the use cases for the CLI tool. Please try to get it
running, and if you run into any problems, or have any questions, post them
here. After you have got some results, I can merge the changes back into the
release, and publish the next release with CLI support out of the box!
