--- Comment #10 from [email protected] 2011-11-08 02:49:25 GMT --- I've done a lot of testing on this issue. Locale could be playing a role here, but here's what happens in the Japanese-Japan locale. When you add a Japanese YouTube channel, gPodder downloads its episodes just fine. The file names are in Japanese and _mostly_ correct, and they are usable enough. At this point, if you delete an episode and try to download it again, gPodder handles it just fine. However, interesting things happen when you restart gPodder. At this point, all the episode files of this channel are somehow automatically thrown into the Unknown subfolder, whether they've been viewed or not. Moreover, when you try to download an episode, you succeed, but the file name is completely mangled. You would not even think it was originally Japanese. This happens even with the episodes that were successfully downloaded with almost correct file names at the very beginning. Correct file names are important to me because I do not watch those videos inside gPodder on a Windows PC. I watch them with a network media player with limited capabilities; it can just show you file names and does not show meta data. Without meaningful file names, I have no idea what those videos are. I hope this gives you enough clues on what's going on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
