As you are using 6.5 here and not 6.4.1, nothing happens probably because vdigit has been successfully compiled already (it is disabled only in 6.4). Have you seen in 6.5 any error messages in the wxGUI command console after startup that make you think that vdigit is not available, or is there no Digitize option in the map display?
