Brian and Michael, I agree 100% with your comments. As a developer, I find the new UI to be a giant step backwards in usability. We gain nothing and lose much.
For non-developers who may not be able or comfortable editing a script, the impact is much worse. Either they lose the ability entirely or they have to find a developer to make the change for them. It's a relatively trivial change for a developer, but consider the time and effort involved for a non-technical user to communicate the need to a suitable person, possibly send that person a copy of the script, wait for the developer to make the change and then install it. Hours or days for what was previously almost instantaneous. Does the new UI offer an actual benefit to anyone? It looks like it offers questionable cosmetic enhancements at the expense of real functionality. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "greasemonkey-users" group.
