It's quite a shame that with the transition the script sources weren't
updated with the metadata set in the GM specific UI. Because with this
update you 'broke' scripts for a lot of people (sure, they'd keep
working fine, but eventually someone will touch the script trying to
figure out what happened).

Not that I want to contest it, but who is saying that this makes any
different for the majority of the users. After all, I'm sure most of
them just install a script and never look at it again.

On the other hand I am kinda glad that GM makes userscripts work like
other browsers. All metadata is now in the script source as it is in
the other browsers. Of course GM adds several other very handy
features that those browsers don't have. So it will never be a level
playing field. But I've always found the extra UI to be somewhat
superfluous. But then again I'm a programmer myself and like to tinker
around.
