Rajeender's last mail to me ('a woman') made me feel pukish. I do feel a
dose of theory (well, it's 'limited uses') may do him a lot of good. If he
took it he'd know that'whore' and 'chaste wife' work as binaries
irrespective of whether both are used together or not, one calling up the
other implicitly.
His entire tone is really nauseating -- the fact that he is addressing a
woman seems to colour his odious statements. I have seen too many such
buddhijeevi men around, who 'haven't heard of neoliberalism' but will be
too willing to deliver comments utterly sexist and patronising!
Unfortunately the gentleman seems to be concerned about stepping on as many
toes as possible; he doesn't care whose toes steps he on!
And of course, the webspace is an ideal place for such faceless aggression!
In fact as good as a crowded bus!
Goodness, it seems impossible to get away from such men, even here!
