National interest is the interest of every citizen of this nation, irrespective of caste, creed or sex. Do you think that the bombs that went off in Hyderabad could distinguish between Dalit and Brahmin, rich and poor? If the country is under relentless attack, the interests and future of everybody is in jeopardy, not just this group or that group.

That inequities exist in the society is not an excuse for declaring open season for the enemies of the nation, because those enemies can't care less about our own societal divisions, as long as those divisions do not help them achieve their goal.
